MT „PATERNA“ – Piracy Attack off Westafrica on 24 June, 2011
In the early morning on Friday 24 June 2011 the tanker “PATERNA” was boarded by pirates in the Gulf of Guinea. Other ships were apparently attacked off the coast of Benin as well that night. On board MT “PATERNA” the pirates stole cash, mobile phone and valuables. They left the ship again after several hours. All crew are safe and the vessel is now sailing towards
Europe.
08.04.2011 MV “PANTANAL” - Grounding in Cashla Bay on March 31st, 2011 / West Coast of Ireland
The vessel is still safely anchored in the Galway Bay. We have contracted local divers to carry out temporary repair the vessel’s hull which is expected to be finalized on Sunday April 10th. Thereafter the vessel will sail to Bremerhaven ship yard for permanent repairs.
Meanwhile an official casualty investigation was initiated by the Irish Maritime Directorate Au-thority and started on Thursday April 7th, 2011 and is completed by now.

The MV “PANTANAL” has been visited by her Classification Society Germanischer Lloyd (GL) yesterday and a diver inspection was carried out. April 1st, MV "PANTANAL" at Cashla Bay / West Coast of Ireland
We are glad to report that this morning at around 05:30 hrs lt the vessel was afloat again and with the assistance of the MT CELCTIC ISLE could safely manoever out of Cashla Bay. MV "PANTANAL" at present is in the Galway Bay waiting for the weather to improve. A diver inspection is ordered for inspection of vessel’s hull. After this inspection the vessel will sail for dry dock.
