Fleet development
Since its establishment, the Harren & Partner Group has continuously developed its fleet. We now therefore manage a fleet of 58 vessels. Our diversification strategy is constantly reflected in investments in newbuildings and second-hand tonnage and segmentation is achieved with container feeder vessels, bulk and heavy lift carriers, tankers, multi-purpose carriers and dock ships. The first newbuilding of around 4,000 tdw may have only been intended for European coastal trade, but today’s fleet operates worldwide. The takeover of two Panamax bulk carriers in 2000 saw the integration into the fleet of the biggest vessels to date of around 70,200 tdw capacity. The average age of our modern fleet is approx. 7.7 years.
The Harren & Partner Group will continue to pursue its strong growth. In the near future, newbuilding activities will focus on the attractive segments of heavy lift carriers and bulk carriers.
Ultimately, another four units will presumably be added by 2013, making the future fleet operated by the Harren & Partner Group comprise about 63 vessels.
