With the “BLUE GIANT” the second vessel of the Combi Dock construction series was put into service in August 2008. With a helicopter landing deck, a diving bell and a decompression chamber the “BLUE GIANT” is well equipped to take over transportation and maintenance services between on-shore and off-shore facilities, as for instance in connection with oil drilling platforms. A dynamic positioning system ensures that the vessel is kept in position within an error of one meter.
