Ship Owner. Ship Manager. Maritime Service Provider.
The Harren name is synonymous with over 30 years of experience and expertise in the ever-changing world of shipping. The Bremen-based shipping group was founded by Captain Peter Harren in 1989, and employs around 400 people ashore as well as around 3,000 regular crew members on their vessels.
Today, the family-run business is a diverse group of companies with strong brands: SAL Heavy Lift (www.sal-heavylift.com), SAL Engineering (www.sal-engineering.de), SAL Renewables (www.sal-renewables.com) and Intermarine (www.intermarine.com) are four of the world’s leading companies in the maritime transport sector for heavy lift and project cargo. Combi Lift (www.combi-lift.net) is specialised in multimodal door-to-door and turnkey concepts. Finally, Harren Tankers (www.harren-tankers.de) and Harren Bulkers (www.harren-bulkers.de) are responsible for the commercial and technical support activities for the group’s tankers and bulkers.
Buying from purchase cooperative trans-Mar-supply (www.trans-mar-supply.com), hands any savings on equipment over to each individual ship - from expensive machinery parts and lube oil, to simple galley supplies and bathroom tissue. Maximum transparency is the basis for joint purchases of over 200 ships from different owners.
Another core activity involves managing our own fleet as well as external tonnage. The fleet currently consists of 88 units – heavy lift carriers, bulkers, tankers, dock ships, container feeders, tugs, barges and offshore vessels. With specialised teams for the different types of ships and strong seafaring DNA in our business culture, Harren & Partner guarantees the highest standards of quality – on both land and sea.
Harren & Partner is also part of the German Offshore Spaceport Alliance (GOSA, www.offshorespaceport.de/en/). With a floating launch platform for small launch vehicles, GOSA wants to create an efficient launch option that takes the customer‘s needs into account and enables payloads of up to about 1 tonne to be launched from the German territory.
